At GFL, We have taken various initiatives in our organization through effective and holistic management of water resources, initiatives in the field of energy conservation, health and hygiene along with fulfilling our responsibilities towards the society. Some of the initiatives taken in this direction are:
• Water Management:
It is our priority to conserve and replenish fresh water and its sources. We have installed flow meters on each inlet and outlet of the dying machines which gives the actual figures of consumption of water during wet processing. We have the facility of zero liquid discharge in our plant which helps in the treatment of processed waste water for its re-use.
To conserve the environment, we also have Effluent treatment plant which is used to treat process contaminated water and ensures disposal of treated water as per environmental requirement.
• Promoting use of Green Fibers:
We are aggressively working in the direction to promote the use of organic cotton which is grown without using pesticides and harm full materials and also less water is required for it; thus we can save the use of Water and harm full chemicals. Besides organic cotton, we are also promoting the use of BCI cotton and recycled cotton fibers which are eco-friendly.
